Thailand 

Thailand, officially known as the Kingdom of Thailand, is a country located in Southeast Asia. It is bordered by Myanmar and Laos to the north, Cambodia to the east, and Malaysia to the south. The country has a population of approximately 69 million people and its capital and largest city is Bangkok. Thailand is known for its rich culture, beautiful beaches, and delicious food. The official language is Thai and the currency is the Thai baht. The country has a constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy. The economy of Thailand is heavily export-dependent, with exports of goods and services accounting for more than two-thirds of GDP. The main exports are electronics, automobiles, textiles and clothing, and agricultural products such as rice and rubber.

Sustainable Textile and clothing produced in Thailand:

  • Koh Samui: This island is known for its beautiful beaches, luxurious resorts, and vibrant nightlife. It is also a great place to go for spa treatments and yoga classes.

  • Koh Phi Phi: This group of islands is known for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant coral reefs. It is a popular spot for diving and snorkeling.

  • Koh Lipe: This small island is situated in the Andaman sea and known for its clear waters, sandy beaches and excellent diving spot.

  • Krabi: This province located in the south of Thailand is known for its limestone cliffs, lush jungles, and beautiful beaches. It is a popular spot for rock climbing, kayaking, and exploring the natural beauty of the region.

  • Pattaya: Located on the Eastern Gulf of Thailand, Pattaya is known for its nightlife and is a popular spot for party-goers. It also has a beautiful beach and a wide variety of water sports.

Keep the beach clean:

Beach cleanups have become an important initiative in Thailand as the country's tourism industry has grown. The increasing number of tourists visiting the beaches has led to an increase in waste and pollution. Beach cleanups are organized by various groups, including non-profits, government agencies, local businesses and volunteers. These groups aim to remove debris and trash from the beaches in order to protect the environment and preserve the natural beauty of the beaches for both locals and tourists.

Some examples of beach cleanups in Thailand include:

  • The "Keep Koh Tachai Beautiful" project, which is organized by the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation and the Surin Islands National Park. The project focuses on cleaning up trash and debris from the beaches on the island of Koh Tachai.

  • The Beach Cleanup Phuket " The project of Little Ocean Heroes and Volunteers. Change plastic waste in to high quality swimwear.

  • The "Beach Cleanup Pattaya" initiative, which is organized by the Pattaya City Administration and local volunteers. The initiative aims to clean up Pattaya beach and promote environmental awareness among tourists and locals.

  • "The Beach cleaning campaign" by the Marine National Park, which is organized by the Marine National Park in collaboration with local communities, schools and volunteers, it aims to clean up the beaches of the national parks and promote environmental awareness among the visitors.

  • "Project AWARE" is an initiative organized by international diving organizations, it focuses on cleaning up marine debris and promoting conservation of marine life.
